Há alguns anos, o Diogo não acreditaria que fosse ler histórias eróticas. Na verdade, o preconceito em torno do género era tanto que ele nem ousava ponderar essa hipótese. O romance erótico é exatamente aquilo que se espera dele e, ao mesmo tempo, consegue ir muito mais além. É como a diferença entre filmes de terror e de horror, em que nem todos os acontecimentos são justificáveis ou têm outra função senão chocar o espetador. É esse estigma, e o seu equívoco, que muitas pessoas atribuem ao género. Afinal, a experiência humana é, em grande parte, erótica e, quando bem construído, o sexo numa narrativa pode ser não só um modo de aprofundar a ligação às personagens como também de explorar os receios mais íntimos de quem está a ler.

Esta pode ser uma história boa para iniciantes – para mim, foi. Apresenta um casal heterossexual que encontra num rapaz a cola para os reparar. Isto não só toca naquilo que é a conceção social de uma relação, como junta um terceiro elemento, masculino e mais novo, que vem, não só para “atiçar” a dinâmica conjugal, como para provocar um crescimento nas personagens.
